HD-CBO presents Active Youth for Health and Protection, a transformative program dedicated to empowering adolescent girls and young women (AGYWs) through sports. This initiative uses the power of football, athletics, and other sports to address urgent challenges such as teenage pregnancy, child abuse, new HIV infections, and gender-based violence by embedding vital health education within sports activities
Our program creates a safe, engaging platform where AGYWs can build physical strength, self-confidence, and critical knowledge about their health and rights. Through inclusive sports sessions combined with interactive health education, participants learn how to protect themselves, make informed decisions, and break cycles of violence and infection.
At HD-CBO, Active Youth for Health and Protection is more than a sports program — it’s a movement to nurture empowered young women who can lead healthier, safer lives and build stronger communities.
